Third Grade students learned about Mexico, The Day of the Dead and about sugar skulls. They also learned about symmetry/ asymmetry and how to create a symmetrical skull. They created symmetrical designs on the skull by drawing only on the half of the skull, and rubbed the design to transfer it on the other side. Connections to Social Studies.
