Absract: circles and triangles
Third Grade students learned about Abstract artworks and the artist Wassily Kandinsky. They created their own Abstract artworks by tracing circular lids and using their rulers to make circles and triangles overlapping each other. Materials: lids, rulers, black sharpies, watercolors.

Cardinals
Third Grade students learned about birds, especially cardinals, and practiced following directions. They created a winter scene by drawing a cardinal on a tree. Materials: pencils, black sharpies, tempera paint. Connections to Science.
